TALLINN, Estonia – European Blockchain Exchange (www.eubx.io) is launching as a new decentralized cryptocurrency trading exchange on Friday, 27 April 2018.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Stephan Zijlstra founded EUBX earlier this year to serve the fast-growing cryptocurrency and digital asset market. “My team and I have been longtime investors in the Blockchain industry, ranging from individual coins to mining rigs to Blockchain technology. Given the global enthusiasm that Blockchain-industry participants have shown in trading Blockchain-derived assets, we decided that offering a cryptocurrency exchange was the next frontier for us,” Mr. Zijlstra said.

There are currently more than 200 cryptocurrency trading exchanges serving the global industry.

“We were quite methodical about our approach. First, we wanted a domicile in the European Union. We selected Estonia on account of the country’s positive attitude towards the industry. Second, we decided it was important to be licensed and regulated. There are a number of unlicensed and unregulated cryptocurrency markets in the industry, but it is increasingly difficult to operate an unlicensed financial industry business. I have been licensed as a financial industry participant in the European Union for more than ten years, and I realize how important it is to satisfy clients’ needs.

“Third, we wanted our first cryptocurrency exchange to be Blockchain-based and powered by smart contracts as a decentralized solution. When we look at the numerous security failures that we have seen from centralized cryptocurrency exchanges – including hackings and other malicious offences – we determined the decentralized solution would best serve our needs. Fourth, we wanted a platform that would provide us with a very easy way to tokenize assets and create digital tokens. EUBX accomplishes exactly that,” Mr. Zijlstra added.
EUBX.io offers trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Bitshares, Dash, Doge, Steem, SBC, DasCoin, BitUSD, BitCNY, and others.

Steroda Beheer OU is the parent of European Blockchain Exchange (EUBX.io) and is licenced by the Financial Intelligence Unit to operate a virtual currency-to-fiat exchange service and a virtual currency wallet.
